No machining or change to the OEM hydraulic lash adjusters is required with our rocker retainer clips on the 4G63 engine. They are designed to work with the existing groove in the hydraulic lash adjuster. Yes, they already have a groove for a clip!

Note: Cast Rocker Arms on the Evo 1-3 4G63 must be upgraded to Pressed Metal Rocker Arms

Our rocker retainer clips are designed for the 4G63 engines in the Mitsubishi Evo 4-9 which have pressed metal rocker arms.

No change is required to the hydraulic lash adjusters.

Please note. Install at your own risk. Clips must be installed correctly as to not place any load on the clip except under preventative circumstances where the rockers are unloaded.

Q: Can you install the clips without removing the camshafts?
A: We recommend removing the camshafts when installing our clips as it's much easier otherwise you risk breaking clips by forcing them on.
